Tony Hawk's Skatepark Hero winner Mike Manion is celebrating an incredible personal achievement: Three and a half years alcohol free.
Manion recently took to social media to share his story and reflect on how much his life has changed over the past few years.
In his post, Mike opened up about how alcohol once played a major role in his life. He admitted to using any excuse to drink, even holidays like Cinco de Mayo.
But instead of giving in to the temptation, Manion decided to make a change.
The road to sobriety wasn’t an easy one for him. He was candid about the struggles he faced along the way. He shared how he failed many times before finally succeeding, but the key was his willingness to keep trying.
Manion also gave credit to his partner, Princess Crystal, who has been a huge source of support. Not only does she encourage his sobriety, but she also chooses to live an alcohol-free lifestyle, which has made their bond even stronger.
As Mike approaches his 35th birthday, he’s feeling thankful for the changes he’s made and the progress he’s seen in his life.
Manion's alcohol-free story isn’t just a personal win. It’s a message to others that change is possible, and the first step is believing in yourself.

"I used to find any excuse to go grab a drink, for instance today being Cinco de Mayo would have been a perfect excuse. However instead of finding a reason to go out and party, I decided to make some serious changes. Because of this, today I have a reason to celebrate. I’m currently 3 1/2 years alcohol free.
People ask me all the time how I was able to go from drinking every day to not drinking at all. The truth is, I struggled. I failed many times before I was successful. I have had several great people who allowed me to rely on them when I needed to, like @garrisonguy . I was open with my struggles, and wasn’t afraid to reach out. Most importantly, I really wanted to change.
Now I have an incredible partner @its_princess_crystal_ who supports me and also chooses to live an alcohol free lifestyle. I have better quality time with my kids. My body feels better when I skateboard and work. I have to be honest, I don’t miss alcohol one bit. I turn 35 next week, thankful to still be here.
Don’t know who needs to hear this, but If I can do it, so can YOU!"
