Sci-Fi Fantasy Skateboards head honcho Jerry Hsu has organized a GoFundMe to support the late skate legend Marc Johnson’s family following his passing.
The fundraiser has been created with the full knowledge and blessing of Marc’s family.
Marc’s impact on skateboarding is difficult to put into words.
His creativity, style, and approach to skating influenced generations of skateboarders and helped shape the way people viewed the art of skateboarding.
As Jerry explains in the fundraiser, Marc also faced serious personal struggles away from skateboarding.
In his final years, he had lost much of what he built and struggled to find the support and connection he needed.
The GoFundMe will help Marc’s family with funeral and memorial costs, travel, estate related expenses, and other costs following his passing.
For those who grew up watching Marc skate, were inspired by his work, or simply appreciated what he brought to skateboarding, the fundraiser offers a way to support the family he loved deeply.
