Professional skateboarder Luan Oliveira has officially closed the chapter on his time with Cariuma, confirming that he and the brand have gone their separate ways after two years working together.
The news comes a while after his much talked about decision to leave Nike Skateboards and link up with Cariuma, a move that had a lot of people in the skate world doing double takes at the time.
When Luan first joined Cariuma, it was a clear shift from the usual path.
Nike had the size, reach, and financial security that many skaters dream of, but Luan chose something different.
Cariuma was still building its name in skateboarding, and his decision showed that he was more interested in fit and direction than just the biggest logo or the biggest paycheck.
For a while, the partnership felt like a fresh chapter that made sense for where he was at personally and professionally.
Now, two years later, that chapter has come to an end.
With no board sponsor and no shoe deal locked in, Luan is officially a free agent.
Instead of stressing about what comes next, he seems relaxed and positive about the situation.
From the outside, it looks like he is focusing less on contracts and more on simply skating, filming, and enjoying the process without any pressure attached.
Luan shared the news himself with a short and honest message, thanking Cariuma and the people behind the scenes for the last two years and wishing them well moving forward.
He also said that he is feeling confident about the year ahead, hinting that 2026 is about being in a good place and doing things on his own terms.
For now, Luan is skating for the love of it, and whatever comes next will come when it feels right.
