Skater rapper Lil Dre just proved something a lot of people still don’t fully expect.

You can rap, make music that gets attention, and still rise to the top of a major skate brand like Girl Skateboards.
And now he has his own pro board to show for it.
Skater rappers have been getting more spotlight lately. Names like Lil Uzi Vert, Soulja Boy, and Lil Wayne have been mixing music and skating for years and their influence is everywhere.
Lil Dre is part of that wave but he stands out in a very natural way because he actually skates at a level that grabs real respect from pro skaters, not just fans who know him from music.
Dre is not just someone who hops on a board here and there.
He actually skates with real skill and has the clips to back it up. He even took part in the Dime Glory Challenge, which is known for bringing together some of the most talented and entertaining skaters out there.
He ended up winning it along with pro skater Ryan Sheckler, which only added more proof that Lil Dre is not pretending to skate for style. He lives it.
With Girl Skateboards welcoming him to their roster and giving him a pro board, everything feels like it came together at the right time.
He represents a new kind of crossover where someone can make music, skate at a high level, and be respected in both worlds without choosing only one lane.
Lil Dre earned his moment. Huge congratulations to big dawg!
