Toy Machine Skateboards professional skateboarder Leo Romero has something new on the way, but this time it is not a skateboard project.
The 39-year-old has announced that his first photography book will be released this September through Friend Editions.
Romero shared the news on Instagram, saying he feels honored to have the opportunity to publish a collection of his photographs.
Along with the announcement, he gave fans a glimpse into the idea behind the book and what inspired the collection.
According to Romero, the book is centered around the experiences that come from everyday life. He described it as a collection about the people we meet, the clouds above us, and the blood that escapes us.
It is a simple description, but one that gives readers an idea of the personal themes found throughout the project.
He also mentioned that the book is still being finished, so there is still some work left before it reaches fans.
One thing he made sure to point out is that the final title has not been revealed yet, joking that it will not be called "BOOK TITLE HERE."
While most core heads know Romero for what he has done on a board over the years, photography has also been an important creative outlet for him.
This upcoming release gives people a chance to see another side of his work through images that capture moments and subjects that have caught his attention over time.
With the release planned for September, the skate community will not have to wait much longer to see the finished collection.
More details, including the official title and release information, are expected as the launch date gets closer.
