OG pro skater Kris Markovich took a trip down memory lane this week, sharing something that many skate fans have probably never seen in person.

After coming across the original sketch for his Circle K shoe, Markovich said the find sparked a wave of messages from people asking about other models he has had throughout his career.

That curiosity inspired him to pull out a piece of skateboarding history from his own closet, the only pair of 88 Footwear signature shoes with his name on them that he still owns.

The iconic skate shoes are more than just a collectible.

They represent a time when he was deeply involved in the design process, making sure his footwear worked the way he needed it to on a skateboard.

In his own words, “This shoe skated really good. I liked it a lot.” Even with just one surviving pair in his possession, the memories of how they felt on board clearly stuck with him.

He also shared that he is now on a mission to track down a pair of every model he has had over the years.

It is the kind of hunt that not only excites collectors but also offers a way for Markovich to reconnect with key moments from his past in skateboarding.

Each model tells part of his personal history and finding them would be like piecing together chapters of his career.

For fans who grew up during the era of 88 Footwear or skaters who followed Markovich’s career, this peek at his signature shoes is a rare treat.

"After finding the sketch of my Circle K shoe yesterday I had some people message me about other models I’ve had so I wanted to break out the one and only pair of shoes with my name on them that I own. I am in the process of trying to round up a pair of all the models I have had over the years.🤞🏽 This shoe skated really good. I liked it a lot!"
