Former Slayer guitarist Kerry King recently revealed in the Rolling Stone interview that his relationship with founding drummer Dave Lombardo has reached a point of no return.
King expressed his frustration, stating, "Not even a text. Not even an email." While King remains open to communication with other former bandmates, Lombardo is an exception.
The guitarist didn't mince words when discussing Lombardo's actions, particularly a social media tirade during a flight to Australia.
King said that Lombardo intentionally chose a time when the band couldn't respond for 14 hours, leaving him feeling betrayed.
King stated, "Lombardo is dead to me," highlighting the impact of the drummer's public statements on Slayer's internal feud.
He explained: He threw me under the bus, and I'm like, 'I'm the guy that kept you here.' So I thought, 'Fuck that guy.'"
