Former Slayer axeman Kerry King just released his new album "From Hell I Rise" which features the song "Toxic."
The band's latest single called out the toxic rhetoric, government, politics and all the hypocrites, which highlighted the manipulators should be executed.
"We're at a point where political fatigue has set in and become an issue for most people who live in our country no matter what side of the coin they land on." Jim Louvau said, "In an election year that feeling is going to start elevating to new heights as we prepare for what's next in America."
He added, "The lyrics and energy of the song showcase that sentiment so I wanted to create something visually that almost feels like a trailer for what we are about to experience. I also wanted to address PTSD for people who have serviced in the military and how the increased political landscape affects their mental health which often goes unnoticed. I clearly wanted to take it as far as I could with this example."
The album, is already out now by Reigning Phoenix Music, includes Kerry King on guitar, drummer Paul Bostaph from Slayer, bassist Kyle Sanders from Hellyeah, Phil Demmel formerly of Machine Head on guitar, and vocalist Mark Osegueda from Death Angel.
The album was mainly recorded at Henson Studios in Los Angeles with producer Josh Wilbur, known for his work with Korn, Lamb of God, Avenged Sevenfold, and Bad Religion.
