Former DGK professional skateboarder Keelan Dadd congratulated the rapper, singer, songwriter, and record executive Lil Wayne as the new professional skateboarder.
After Dadd parted ways with DGK, he started his brand, 3435 skateboards, in which he understood that a skater could turn themselves pro as long as they had their own board company.
"What day, what a night, what a ride," Dadd said. "It's been a long time coming 10 years in the making been watching this man show nothing but pure dedication to the craft I love the most."
"We as a community (skateboarders) love you and appreciate your dedication." He continued, "When I got the call from my bro Phil Lopez and this was being organized, I was so hyped and couldn't be more honored to give my blessings and support."
He added. "S/O to everybody that's been on this journey and to everyone who has supported the movement. Big ups to the MVLA GVNG.
Lil Wayne IS PRO."
Many core skateboarders question the vague pro surprise if he rides for a particular brand, but the deck has a Thank You Skate Co logo.
Hence, pro skater Torey Pudwill never acknowledged it as the brand owner on any social media post but was in the same room when Lil Wayne turned pro.
