Skate legend Jim Greco has been pretty quiet on social media lately, but that does not mean he has been taking it easy.
While many people wondered where he had been, Greco has been spending his time in the streets filming, skating, and working on something new for skateboarders who still appreciate products made with skating in mind.
That project has now been revealed with the introduction of the new Hammers Combat Shock skateboarding boots.
The response was immediate, especially from core heads who have followed Greco since his days with Piss Drunx.
One of the first names to show up in the comments was skateboarding icon Chad Muska, who admitted he had been wondering what Greco had been working on.
Muska wrote:
"Rad Jim! Was texting with Ellington the other day and was thinking about what you been up to. Glad to see this pop up!"
It is always cool to see longtime skateboarders keeping in touch and supporting each other's projects. Greco, Muska, and Erik Ellington have all left their mark on skateboarding, so seeing that interaction caught the attention of plenty of fans.

As for the boots themselves, the Combat Shock has a rugged look that stands out from the usual skate shoe.
The design leans more toward a military style boot while still being made for skateboarding. From the photos Greco shared, the footwear has a durable upper, chunky sole, and an overall look that fits his personal style.
Greco also shared a photo showing a recent injury after taking a board to the face while skating.
Alongside the images, he wrote:
"Last pic-got hit in the eye with a sharp tail board that took a vicious hop upon landing weird.

Even after all these years, Greco continues to skate with the same commitment that made him one of the most respected names in skateboarding.
Skaters have already started giving positive reactions to the Combat Shock, with many saying they are excited to see more details and get a closer look at the boots.
If this first reveal is any indication, Hammers Footwear could become another interesting option for skaters looking for something different from the usual lineup of skate shoes.
