Despite an already crowded skateboard market, OG professional skateboarder Jesse Paez is going ahead with his own board company, PAEZ Co.

The former Think Skateboards pro rider is starting a new chapter by selling his own products, with a limited edition horror themed deck collaboration among the first releases.

Paez recently shared the news on social media, announcing a special deck featuring Jason and Michael, the iconic horror characters.

Each board is numbered and signed, making it an interesting pickup for core heads who collect skateboards or enjoy horror inspired designs.

The limited edition deck is priced at $100, while beanies are available for $20.

Paez also teased more merchandise coming soon, so this first release may be just the beginning of what he has planned for the brand.

Starting a skateboard company is difficult these days, especially with so many brands competing for attention.

As we previously reported, Manny Santiago has spoken about the crowded market, where an increasing number of companies are fighting for sales and even established names are feeling the pressure.

We also reported on Bby Yoshando's take as he said that you don't really need sponsors anymore.

As we also exposes how little they can earn from board sales, some are exploring other ways to support themselves and take control of their careers.

For Paez, though, launching his brand gives him a way to build something under his own name without relying entirely on a company to sponsor him.

After years in professional skateboarding, he already has experience in the industry and a following that may be interested in what he creates.

The first release is limited, so anyone interested in the horror deck will want to check availability before ordering.

With signed boards, numbered editions and more merchandise on the way, PAEZ Co is officially getting started.

It will be interesting to see what Paez brings out next as he builds his own brand and connects with skaters who want to support his latest project.

And hopefully a new video part and once it takes off, a new skate team fasho!
