Jerry Hsu is still that motherf*cker. At 43, he just landed the cover of Thrasher Magazine and it’s got skateboarders talking.
As we previously reported, Skater of the Year Chris Senn said that once you're 35, you're no longer pro, but Hsu just proved otherwise, showing the rules might be changing.
With so many younger skaters hitting the streets hard and constantly trying to get noticed, Hsu casually reminds everyone why he’s one of the most respected names in the game.
These days, he’s been juggling a lot. As the head of Sci-Fi Fantasy Skateboards, he’s built something solid.
What started as a clothing brand with a clean aesthetic has grown into a full-on skate company with a team of skaters that actually rip.
Arin Lester turned pro for Sci-Fi, and even YouTube favorite Gifted Hater rides for the team. That kind of mix speaks to how Hsu sees things differently and knows how to pick skaters who fit the brand’s style.
Outside of skating, Sci-Fi has picked up attention in places no one really expected. Kim Kardashian was spotted wearing one of the brand’s caps and it went all over the internet.
But Hsu doesn’t chase that stuff. It just happens naturally because his taste and style carry weight beyond skating.
The cover itself is a big deal. Thrasher covers don’t come easy. They’re earned.
And to get one at 43 says a lot. He’s not just hanging on or coasting. He’s still out there filming and getting clips. That darkslide photo is insane for his age.
So yeah, 43 and still killing it is crazy.
