In a recent episode of the Nine Club podcast, skateboarding legend Jamie Thomas surprised fans by revealing a little-known secret from making his iconic "New Blood" video part.

During the interview with Chris Cole, Thomas admitted to breaking a window while filming a particularly intense trick and quietly paying for the damages without anyone noticing.

The revelation offers a fascinating glimpse into Thomas's commitment to his craft and unwavering sense of responsibility.

Released in 2005, the Chief's "New Blood" video part quickly became a seminal piece in skateboarding history.

However, behind the scenes, there was an incident that Thomas had kept under wraps for over two decades.

Thomas shared that he accidentally broke a window while filming a particularly challenging wall ride for his intro and Thrasher cover.

The incident occurred in a spot that the crew had painstakingly secured, and the consequences of the broken window could have jeopardized the entire project.

Aware of the potential fallout, Thomas made a spur-of-the-moment decision that reflected his sense of accountability and respect.

Rather than confessing to the bank, Thomas took it upon himself to silently rectify the situation. He discreetly found out the cost of the damaged window and promptly paid for it without anyone noticing with an anonymous letter to the bank manager.

Thomas's motive behind his act was not seeking recognition or praise but rather a desire to maintain the project's integrity and ensure that the crew's hard work did not go to waste.
