Recently, Zero Skateboards shared a new video featuring Thomas completing 51 tricks at 51 years old. The project has an interesting backstory.

According to Zero, Thomas originally planned to film 50 tricks at age 50 for his last video part.

However, the project took longer than expected, leading him to adjust the concept.

As Zero Skateboards explained:

"Jamie's birthday is in October, but Jamie originally set out to film 50 tricks at 50 for his last part, but as the project got delayed he decided to film 10 tricks at 5 different spots for his last ‘skate your age’ edit. Complete with comentary & attemps for most tricks."

The finished video features Thomas skating five different locations while landing a wide variety of tricks. It also includes commentary and footage of failed attempts, giving viewers a look at the work that went into the project.

Rather than only showing the successful moments, the edit gives a more complete picture of the process behind each clip.

For longtime fans, it is another example of why Thomas remains one of the most respected figures in skateboarding.

Decades after becoming a household name in the skate scene, he continues to spend time filming, skating street spots, and creating new content.

What stands out most is not just the number of tricks. It is the commitment required to film them. Anyone who has spent time skateboarding knows that getting clips often involves repeated attempts, dealing with falls, and returning to spots until everything comes together.

The video also offers something younger skaters can appreciate. It shows that skateboarding does not have to end after a certain age.

While many people step away from skating as the years go by, Thomas continues to find enjoyment in being on his board and filming projects that challenge him.

At 51 years old, he is still putting together edits that many skaters would be proud of at any age.

His latest release stands as another memorable addition to a career that has already influenced countless skateboarders around the world.

For fans of Thomas and Zero, the 51 tricks at 51 project is a fun watch that celebrates both creativity and longevity in skateboarding.
