Following the recent closure of Darkroom Skateboards, one of the brand's standout riders has officially landed at a new company.
Jake Braun is now riding for Birdhouse Skateboards, the company founded by skateboarding icon Tony Hawk.
As we previously reported, Darkroom Skateboards recently announced that it was shutting down after years in the skateboard industry.

The company explained that the decision was not caused by a single issue but rather a combination of business demands, personal responsibilities, health concerns, and the challenges that come with running an independent skateboard brand.
With Darkroom no longer around, several riders were left without a board sponsor. One of those skaters was Jake Braun, who spent years representing the brand through video parts, street skating, and appearances alongside the rest of the Darkroom team.
Despite the uncertainty that comes when a company closes its doors, Braun continued doing what he has always done. He stayed active in the streets, continued filming, and kept building on the reputation he earned through years of hard work and consistent footage.
Now that dedication has paid off.
Birdhouse Skateboards officially announced that Braun has joined its roster, giving him a new place to continue the next chapter of his career.
The announcement was shared through Birdhouse's social media accounts, where the company welcomed him to the team and revealed that his first pro boards under the Birdhouse name will be arriving in skate shops soon.
Birdhouse posted:

Many felt Birdhouse was a great fit, especially considering Braun's ability to handle big terrain, technical spots, and everything in between.
With new boards on the way and a video scheduled to drop next week, core heads will not have to wait long to see what Braun has been working on since joining the Birdhouse squad.
