Things have been pretty tense lately around immigration enforcement in the US, especially with increased activity from Immigration and Customs Enforcement under Donald Trump.
That tension has spilled over into different communities, including skateboarding, where people are not staying quiet about how they feel.
Publications like Thrasher Magazine and a number of pro skaters have openly spoken out, with crowds at events even chanting against ICE.

Brands are getting involved too.
REAL Skateboards pulled up and said they do not see ICE as part of the skate world, which says a lot about where the culture stands right now.

Then something unexpected popped up and caught people off guard.
An ICE agent was seen wearing a tie dye tee from Primitive Skateboards. For those who follow skating, that is a pretty wild crossover moment.
Primitive is deeply rooted in skate culture, and Switch God P-Rod himself is a Mexican American skater who has always had strong ties to the community.
What makes it even more interesting is that P-Rod has never really had to speak publicly about ICE before.
Seeing someone from that agency wearing his brand adds confusion for a lot of people. It raises questions more than anything else.
Is the agent actually part of the skate scene? Are they just into the clothing? Or is it simply one of those random moments where two completely different worlds overlap?
There has been no response from P-Rod or anyone from Primitive so far.
For now, it is just something people are talking about online and trying to make sense of.
At the end of the day, skateboarding has always had people from all kinds of backgrounds.
You never really know who is behind the board or, in this case, behind the uniform.
