Learning the basics of skateboarding is imperative as it is the foundation to become a real skateboarder.

Ollie is the first trick that every skateboarding enthusiast should learn before doing other adance tricks.

In the new video uploaded by Santa Cruz Skateboards, professional skateboarder Maurio McCoy teaches you how to ollie the proper way and how to make it higher once you get used to it.

The 25-year-old said that he learned his first ollie trick when he was 7 years old. However, that doesn't mean you should be discouraged that it's too late to learn a trick.

No matter your age, who you are, what you do, you can learn how to skateboard as long as you put your heart into it and just enjoy skating.

McCoy points out the footing on his board and how to snap it clean but remember it takes time to learn tricks using a skateboard so be patient.
