For street skaters who remember the days when Burke was popping up and skating spots that seemed impossible, this is a hard moment.

The skate world is connected to real life, and actions off the board can have serious consequences.

The split also shows how brands are paying attention to the culture they promote.

Sponsors are not just backing skating skills. They are looking at who represents their name and what that person brings to the streets and the community.

Burke’s arrest and the brand’s response have the skate world shocked.

Skateboarders are sharing clips of his old parts, discussing what happened, and debating how much a skater’s personal life should impact sponsorships.

Even though his clips will always be locked in skate history, what he’s dealing with now is gonna change how people remember him in the streets.
