Girl Skateboards is giving some love to the cities, shops, and people who helped shape the company from the ground up with its WE OG project.

The project is about the lifers.

The people who have spent years hanging around skate shops, skating their local spots, sitting on dusty couches, lurking in parking lots, and supporting the scene long before anyone was paying attention.

Skate shops have always played an important role in that culture.

They are where someone can buy their first complete, meet other skaters, hear about a new video, or spend an afternoon arguing over the best part from a video released 20 years ago.

That mix of old heads and younger skaters is part of what keeps local scenes going.

Someone picking up their first board can end up sharing the same shop with a person who has been skating for decades. Different generations, same connection.

WE OG recognizes the communities that gave Girl a place within skateboarding and continued supporting the company over the years.

It is a way of showing appreciation for the people behind those scenes, from shop owners and employees to the crews who keep showing up for sessions.

For some, that connection might be a Girl deck hanging on the wall. For others, it is tied to years of friendships, sessions, road trips, shop hangs, and debates over video parts.

Girl is putting those stories and communities at the heart of WE OG, giving some well deserved love to the people who have been there since the early days and those still carrying that culture forward today.
