Girl Skateboards just released SPLINTER, their newest full-length video, and it’s an absolute treat.
The team has clearly been out stacking clips for a while, and the payoff is a packed video full of standout parts, stylish skating, and plenty of familiar faces.
One of the biggest highlights is seeing Cory Kennedy back on the board. His return adds a lot to the overall feel of the video. There’s something really satisfying about seeing him land trick after trick.
Rick McCrank also throws down hard in SPLINTER. He may be one of the older guys on the team, but you wouldn't know it from his footage.
It’s rad to see someone with that much history in skateboarding still charging and coming through with clips that stand up next to the newer generation.
The rest of the crew brings solid variety. There’s everything from tight manual combos to big rail hits and crusty spot coverage.
The video has a good balance of different styles and approaches.
Girl's new video has that classic feel. It doesn’t try too hard to be anything other than what it is, and that’s part of what makes it so enjoyable.
It’s a proper team video that feels honest and rooted in the kind of skating people actually want to watch.
