The Gaza skate community is hurting after a young member of the Gaza Skate Team was shot and killed. The people closest to them are trying to make sense of it.

According to the team, this kid wasn’t involved in any fighting. They were just someone who loved skating, chilling with friends, and dreaming about the future like any other kid.

On the day it happened, they went out to get water for their family. That simple act ended in tragedy.

The team said this kid was one of their own, bright and full of life, someone who brought joy to everyone around them.

The founder spoke out, saying, “This isn’t war, this is systematic targeting.” That line has been shared everywhere, showing the anger and grief the community is feeling.

Skating in Gaza has always been more than just a hobby. It’s a way to cope, to find normal moments, and to connect with others. The skate team has been a small escape from all the pressure around them. Losing one of the youngest members hits hard because it takes away part of that safe space.

The team made it clear that this kid wasn’t defined by conflict. They were defined by their personality, their love for skating, and how they cared for their family. Sharing the story and the photo isn’t just about mourning. It’s about making sure this kid is seen as a person, not just a number.

The crew wants people to pay attention, to listen, and to speak up. They’re asking everyone to help spread the word so this doesn’t get ignored. Remembering this kid means keeping the story alive.

Right now, the focus is grief. Friends, teammates, and supporters are holding on to memories of someone who just wanted to skate and live.

Gaza Skate Team Posted:

"This child was one of us.
A talented young skater with Skate Gaza Team — who loved life, loved skateboarding, and dreamed like any child in the world.

One ordinary morning, he went to bring water to his family..
A bullet was fired — one that didn’t distinguish between a child carrying water and a bird in the sky.

This isn’t war.. this is systematic targeting.
Targeting children, families, water, sports.. targeting every meaning of life in Gaza.

This child didn’t die because he was a fighter. He died because he was a child in Gaza.

🛹 A true loss:

Skate Gaza Team loses one of its brightest young stars today.
A child who dreamed of becoming a champion skater..
Left us while trying to care for his family.

We share his photo today to tell the world:
This is Gaza.
This is the reality of what’s happening here.

—

✊ This child’s memory demands:

That we tell his story.
That we share his face.
That we raise our voices until every human with a heart hears.

🕊️ From Gaza we cry: No to killing children. No to the world’s silence.
