The 35-year-old revealed that he underwent surgery and will be taking some time away from his board while he focuses on rehabilitation.

Felipe said the injury happened quickly and changed his plans, but he remains thankful for the support around him.

He is currently in Austria at Red Bull, where he has started his recovery and is taking things one day at a time.

In his message, Felipe shared that his faith has helped him through this difficult moment.

He said that God is still in control and that he feels at peace while going through the recovery process.

Felipe also thanked Red Bull for the care and support they have given him and his family during this time.
