Felipe Gustavo Shows His New Food Business “Acai Republic”

Life after professional skateboarding is detrimental if you don't have a backup plan, but top-notch professional skateboarder Felipe Gustavo knows what to do in the future whenever his skate career is over.

The career path of a regular pro skater can vanish quickly when the level is so high that life-changing injuries are not only common but even likely.

Red Bull spent a day with the Brazilian contest skater and showed how Gustavo keeps in the skating form, as it is required for him to make it in the top flight of the global skate game.

The 30-year-old has spun off his hustling mentality into a new food business opportunity called the "Acai Republic."

Gustavo's Açaí Republic business quickly becoming the go-to skaters' hangout spot in Los Angeles, and he swings by to pick up some bowls of the Brazilian superfood before hitting up some of the courtyard ledge spots hidden around downtown and shared on the down-low via geolocation pins from other members of his skate crew.
