Skateboarding legend Duane Peters took to social media and updated skateboarders about his gnarly experience in life.
The Master of Disaster explained how his lower ankle exploded. "My calcaneus will never heal," he said.
He advised fans that even if a doctor or someone told you that you would never walk again, you have to keep fighting and never give up no matter what.
"Your body is made from God and it will heal at some point, I mean, unless you are completely crippled." He said, you're f*ckd. That's why I'm very grateful I'm not crippled."
According to Peters, if you look dirty, people will not take you seriously and will just treat you the same way as you look.
Despite facing challenges like incarceration and being canceled by the skate industry, DP maintained his tough attitude and gratitude towards life.
DP's story is about resilience. We shouldn't give up when life gets tough, instead, we should be strong and keep moving forward.
