As we previously reported, Sandlot Times boss Ryan Sheckler came through heavy. Dude been through hell with injuries over the years but still laced up and threw down like nothing could stop him.
Then you got skater rapper Lil Dre, young cat outta LA, held it down and showed he’s ready to take over. Both of them ended up winning that two million dollar bag, but you already know that cash was fake.
Dime always got jokes like that. Either way, they nailed it down and had the crowd wildin’.
The course was built to hurt feelings. Rails that don’t end, gaps that look like they’ll swallow you whole, and of course that volcano waiting to eat skaters alive.
People were dropping in knowing damn well they might not make it out. That’s what makes Dime different. Nobody’s out there counting points or playing safe. It’s all about who’s got the guts to roll through and make it look clean.
Crowd was lit all day. Every slam had people screaming, every landing had the place shaking. Felt more like a block party than some contest. Just straight community love and chaos with everyone rooting for carnage.
