As previously reported, enjoi is officially back after Louie Barletta bought the company back following its time under corporate ownership.
With the brand returning to more independent control, not every former pro rider is expected to return to the team.
One of those riders is Didrik “Deedz” Galasso, who has decided to move forward by starting something of his own.
Galasso recently announced the launch of his new brand called BERMUDA MCCCLXXXIII (1383). Instead of joining another company, he chose to build a project from the ground up and handle things his own way.
In a post shared online, Deedz opened up about the idea behind the brand and what it means to him personally.
He wrote:
"BERMUDA MCCCLXXXIII (1383).
I be focusing on skateboards, clothing and accessories.
No investors. No distribution. No big corporations. No one telling me what to do.
Just my time, my vision, my emotions…Just me, myself and I.
I’m starting this completely from scratch, scared, stressed, excited and feeling a lot of emotions at once. Sitting here thinking I don’t even know how I got this far.
This is more than a dream to me. I never imagined I would one day own something of my own, so this is a new beginning and a new chapter in my life.
I’m proud and excited to present to the world:
BERMUDA MCCCLXXXIII (1383)
Decks will be online soon at bermuda1383.com. Follow @13bermuda83 for updates.
Clothing will follow soon.
I will start small. Really small. Limited quantities on products.
Boards made at BBS Manufacturing. Clothing made in Portugal using 100% cotton.
Thank you to everyone supporting from day one.
Much love to all of you.
Didrik Galasso"
It is still early days for BERMUDA MCCCLXXXIII, but for Didrik Galasso this is him taking matters into his own hands and building something that is fully his.
