The elusive and enigmatic Deer Man of Dark Woods has surfaced once again, this time making his way to California for the filming of HORDE 3.

Barrier Kult officially announced that filming would take place from March 29 to April 10, covering both San Diego and Los Angeles.
With a cryptic mention of "rituals commencing w/ Cali locals," it's safe to assume that this won't just be another standard video shoot. Something darker and heavier is brewing.
For those unfamiliar, Deer Man of Dark Woods isn’t just any skater.
His presence is more myth than reality, a shadowy figure deeply tied to the raw and aggressive side of skateboarding.
No flashy endorsements, no mainstream appeal. Just pure, relentless devotion to the craft. His skating style is unmistakable: gnarly terrain, brutal slams, and an undeniable commitment to the underground ethos that Barrier Kult has embodied for years.
California, with its deep skate history, seems like the perfect setting for HORDE 3. San Diego and LA are home to legendary spots, but don't expect this crew to hit up the usual parks or well-waxed ledges.
Barrier Kult thrives on the grimy, the forgotten, and the overlooked. Ditches, crusty pools, and uneven transitions will likely serve as the backdrop for whatever rituals are being planned.
With HORDE 3 in the works, there’s no doubt that whatever is being captured in California will add to the legend. Deer Man of Dark Woods doesn’t emerge often, but when he does, it’s worth paying attention.
