Pro skateboarder David Reyes has officially parted ways with Torey Pudwill and Daewon Song’s Thank You Skateboards.
After years of representing the brand and dropping footage that showed his technical control and street power, Reyes has decided it’s time for a new chapter.
And what better day to start something new than on his birthday?
Reyes marked the occasion by announcing that he’s now part of the Zero Skateboards family, joining Jamie Thomas and the rest of the crew.
Nobody really saw it coming, but it fits. Reyes has been stacking clips and handling big rails like it’s just another day out.
Reyes has always been the kind of skater who delivers.
His recent clips and video parts show him taking on rails, gaps, and ledges with the same gnar that first got people’s attention years ago.
He’s been putting in serious work and it shows, proving why brands continue to trust him to represent their name the right way.
Zero has been rebuilding its team after Gabriel Summers left to join Thames, and Reyes steps in as a strong addition.
His style meshes well with Zero’s image: classic, straightforward skating that’s all about putting down real tricks on raw spots.
Fans can probably expect some heavy footage in the future as Reyes finds his rhythm with the new team.
Reyes hasn’t shared much about what’s next, but knowing his track record, it won’t take long before we see him in the next Zero video or tour edit.
Turning a year older and turning the page to a new sponsor on the same day is a pretty cool way to celebrate.
