Skateboarding legend Danny Way isn’t staying quiet about his political stance.

On a recent Instagram story, Way shared a photo of President Donald Trump alongside a clear message:

“Yep I will never stop fighting for you. Fck all the bs, cancel me but this is my guy.”

While some fans backed him of his latest post, others expressed disappointment, saying they didn’t expect such a strong political stance from someone so central to the skateboarding scene.

Way is known for famously jumping the Great Wall of China and constantly reinventing tricks.

This isn’t the first time politics and skateboarding have clashed.

As the scene becomes more mainstream, more skaters have begun sharing their views, and not all of them land the same way with every part of the community.

Some feel political views should be kept private, while others believe skaters, like anyone else, have every right to express themselves.

Way hasn’t made any follow-up posts or comments about the story, and he hasn’t addressed any backlash directly.

Interestingly, this statement of loyalty comes at a time when U.S.-China tariffs affecting the skateboard industry have been temporarily lowered following a 90-day agreement between the two countries.

As we previously reported, the tariff pause offers brief relief to an industry that relies heavily on imported materials, especially wood and hardware sourced from abroad. Still, many in the scene remain concerned about what happens once the 90 days are up.

But based on the tone of his message, Way seems unfazed by the bigger picture. He appears to be standing firm in his support, regardless of how trade policy might impact the industry he helped shape.

For now, it’s clear that the legendary pro skater's loyalty to Trump isn’t going anywhere, and he’s not interested in toning it down for anyone.
