Looking back at old clips, he remembered his son Ryden at 8 years old, trying to figure out how to skate the ramp Danny built for his legendary Great Wall of China jump.

Seeing Ryden’s early steps in skateboarding brought a wave of emotion for Danny, who watched his kids grow up so quickly.

Ryden is now 27, Tavin is 24, and Rumi is 18. Danny says it feels like just yesterday they were little kids exploring the world.

Watching Ryden follow his own passion for skateboarding fills him with pride, and he emphasizes that all three of his children are his world and his main focus in life.

After 38 years dedicated to professional skateboarding, Danny shared that he has reached a point where family, close friends, and fans are what matter most.

Being a father and a mentor has become more important than skating itself.

He admits it is bittersweet to realize how much his dedication to his career impacted his children, and he wants to make sure he is there for them as they continue to grow.

Health challenges have also influenced this shift in priorities. After 28 surgeries and ongoing physical issues, Danny has decided it is time to focus on family and sharing the knowledge he has gained over the years with others.

His message is about no career is worth more than the moments you spend with the people you love.

To celebrate his career and the 20th anniversary of the Great Wall jump, Danny is working on a new film with Anandapictures.

He is also creating 120 limited-edition replicas of the skateboard he used for that jump. Each board will be placed in a shadow box frame, wrapped in photographs by Mike Blabac, signed, and numbered by Danny himself.

He is handling every step personally, from stenciling and grip-taping to assembling, framing, boxing, signing, and shipping.

Each board will also come with a Zoom call with Danny and numbered photo prints signed by both him and Blabac.

This project is being brought to life in collaboration with Moondust Studio, Planb, Blabac Photo, Independent Trucks, and Spitfire Wheels.

Danny promises more details will be shared as the project unfolds, giving fans a closer look at the work and dedication behind this special release.
