Blind skateboarder and the first ever visually impaired to grind into the Guinness World Record, Dan Mancina and Adidas skateboarding gave back to the North West Association for Blind Athletes - teaching the fundamentals of skateboarding to the visually impaired at the Adidas park in Portland.
Mancina, who was diagnosed with a retinal degenerative disease aged 13 and lost his sight at 22 years of age, didn't stop and continued his love for skateboarding.
He now advocates for helping others by being an excellent example with hard work and a determined mindset to instill positivity in others.
The Detroit, Michigan native hopes to inspire others and even said in an interview with Red Bull that he aims to build a skate park designed for blind people.
Although Adidas is a corporate entity and not a core skater-owned company, they tried their hardest to help the ones in need and pro skaters to invigorate skateboarding.
