As we previously reported, YouTube skater Chris Chann teased that he had a new video in the works with Thrasher, and now we finally have more details.
Chris has announced that his upcoming Thrasher part will premiere this Saturday in Tokyo at Babylon Harajuku.
The event is scheduled for 5 to 8 PM, giving local skaters a chance to see the full part before it lands online.
For anyone who has followed skateboarding for a while, Chris's place in the scene is an interesting one.
He built a huge audience through YouTube at a time when internet personalities were often viewed very differently within the core skate community.
There was gnarly hate toward skaters who focused heavily on content creation and social media.

A lot has changed since then.
YouTube has become a huge part of skateboarding, and Chris has continued to build his career both on and off the board.
Now he is getting his own Thrasher part, giving his longtime audience something they have been waiting to see.
The Tokyo premiere will give everyone the first look at what Chris has been working on before the video lands on Thrasher's YouTube.
According to his post, the part will be released on Thrasher shortly after the premiere.

"Thrasher part premiere this Saturday 5-8pm in Tokyo at @babylon.tyo
Part drops soon after on @thrashermag"
So if you're in Tokyo this Saturday, you know where to be. Everyone else will have to wait a little longer for the online release.
