Bryce Wettstein has a way of making skateboarding feel like a daydream set to motion.
In a recent mini-interview posted by The Platfrm, she sat down to talk about the skaters, setups, and spots that have shaped her along the way.
And like everything she does, Bryce keeps it original, colorful, and unmistakably her.
Growing up in California, Bryce was surrounded by a lot more than sunshine. She was raised around a mix of skateboarding history and creativity that clearly rubbed off.
She talks about skating Mike McGill’s board back in the day - a name that holds a lot of weight in skate circles and how that experience stuck with her. But it’s not just the legends that inspire her.
She brings up Patti McGee, a name some newer skaters might not recognize right away, but one that clearly left an impression on Bryce.
That kind of nod to the past tells you a lot about how much she values those who came before.
