If you thought skater rapper BLP Kosher was just another rapper, think again.
He’s got a style that mixes skate culture with sharp lyrics, and he’s proving it once more.
His latest stuff? Sampling Avril Lavigne’s classic track "Skater Boi" and twisting it into something completely his own.
BLP isn’t just dropping a cover. He’s taking the original song and layering it with his own rapid-fire rhymes, turning the familiar pop-punk chorus into a canvas for clever wordplay and skateboarding shoutouts.
He even references Piss Drunx legend Dustin Dollin and 2025 Skater of the Year Chris Joslin, bringing the skate scene straight into his bars.
For anyone who’s been following the skate world, hearing those names in a rap track hits in a whole different way.
Right now, the track isn’t officially out yet.
There are some record label and copyright hurdles that need to be cleared before it can hit streaming platforms.
But skaters are already stoked at the thought of what the full track could sound like.
The connection between Avril and skateboarding has always been strong.
Her original "Sk8er Boi" captured the skateboarding scene when it first dropped, blending punk attitude with the culture of skating.
Seeing BLP put his own spin on it opens up the idea of a collaboration down the line. Who knows, maybe one day the pop star herself will jump into the studio with him.
