Big boy Strength Cartel is a 335lb+ giant bodybuilder and a former inmate who is always in the gym, and all about gaining body mass to produce positive reinforcement for people who are having troubles in their life and help them cope with depression has been sharing his knowledge on how to have a pragmatic approach in life, in general, made a huge decision to drop in on Tony Hawks 13.5 vert ramp even if he has no experience skating vert.
Skating a vert ramp is not a joke especially if you are not used to dropping in on a regular skate park. However, Big boy has been skating and practicing at Ryan Sheckler's private skate park. He even hit up Tony Hawk a couple of times to skate.
Tony Hawk says: "Jake big sc boy has been hitting me up lately about dropping in on vert, as he’s been skating regularly and practicing at Shecks place. So we met up today and he did some practice runs, dropping in and kick turns that looked solid."
Tony added. "He finally climbed the stairs to my 13.5’ ramp and on the way up asked, “so I just gotta commit, right?” I said yes but you gotta bend your knees a little more on the way down. I don’t think he heard that last part as he put his board down and went for it without hesitation. I didn’t even have time to get my phone out to record it." Tony Continues. "He got up right afterward, went back to the smaller 1/4 pipe, and dropped in a few times before finally deciding to come back another day. This is the loudest sound my ramp has ever made btw. Stoked you tried it Big Boy! But more stoked that you’re okay."
Even if you feel that you are an expert in skateboarding you should always be cautious at all times to prevent accidents and the good news is Big boy is safe and didn't break any bones doing the stunt. Huge Props to Big boy for having the balls on dropping in on a vert ramp even if this is his first time. Please be advised that you should never try it alone without an expert with you on a vert ramp.
