The Berrics has taken its famous flatground battles overseas and planted them in Japan, with the brand new BerriQs Skate Plaza at the base of Mount Fuji as the host.
It is a spot that feels made for a fresh start and the first round of the BATB JPN Special Edition has already started to deliver.
This time around it was Hibiki Hattori stepping up to face Cody Cepeda.
What makes this special is not only who is skating but where it is all going down. Fuji is a landmark in itself and to have a brand new plaza sitting in its shadow sets up a setting that makes every battle feel different from what we have seen before.
