Delta Skateboards pro skateboarder Bastien Salabanzi is putting forward an idea called "Skate for Peace" that sits alongside "Go Skate Day" rather than trying to replace it.

The idea is to have another day where people come together on boards, skating through the city, spending time at different local spots, and sharing sessions with each other in a relaxed way.
He said that the intention is not to turn it into something loud or confrontational.
He is not aiming for protests or heavy messaging.
The focus is more about people coming together and spending a day skating with each other under a simple idea of peace and respect.
He also used strong wording around peace and mentioned fuck war or fuck genocide as part of that message, keeping it direct and raw rather than polished or corporate sounding.
Salabanzi also pointed out that this is not something he can set up on his own.
He said it is not realistic for one person to handle something like this alone, so he is calling on skate shops, skate schools, and people who are already active in their local skate communities to help bring it together.

The idea depends on collaboration, with different groups taking part in organizing stops, meetups, and routes through their own cities.
The timing he is talking about is somewhere in June or July, but not on June 21, since that date is already known for Go Skate Day.
This would be another gathering during that period, giving people an extra opportunity to meet up and skate together outside of the usual date.
He shared a message describing what he has in mind.
He talked about a full day spent skating across the city with the homies, stopping at different local places for sessions, then pulling up together to the next spot.
The idea is simple movement through the streets, spending time skating and connecting without too much structure.
He also said that anyone involved in their local community who feels connected to the idea is welcome to reach out and help make it happen.
The overall direction is straightforward. It is about creating another shared day for skating, with open participation, local involvement, and a focus on being together on boards across the city in a relaxed and open way.
