Pro skater Bam Margera is stepping into a strange new role: playing "GOD" in the upcoming film Jesus Cop.
This isn't some heavenly tale of redemption. Instead, it's shaping up to be an unhinged mix of action, horror, and comedy, soaked in sarcasm and twisted philosophy.
The film centers around a man who discovers he's immortal. But instead of living a peaceful, everlasting life, his mind begins to unravel.
Immortality, in this world, comes at the cost of mental collapse. There’s no divine guidance here, no miracles, no comfort. Just one message - go save yourself.
Margera’s role as “GOD” seems intentionally gnarly.
This isn’t a figure of peace or wisdom. From what we know so far, he plays a version of God that’s detached, maybe even deranged, offering no help and certainly no hope.
It’s an unexpected casting move, but that might be exactly why it works. Margera has always blurred the line between comedy and destruction, and this role leans into that wildness.
Jesus Cop is being directed by Rob Gabriele, who appears to be crafting something that looks like a late-night cult flick - loud, brash, and probably destined to divide viewers.
The story isn’t interested in preaching. It strips away the usual good-versus-evil formula in favor of something messier, more human, and a lot more violent.
Instead of heroes saving the day, we’re looking at characters spiraling in their own personal disasters. Instead of divine answers, we get silence or maybe just Margera shouting in your face.
No official release date has been announced yet, but based on early details, this isn’t the kind of movie you’ll stumble upon by accident. You’ll either seek it out or hear about it from someone who couldn’t stop talking about how bizarre it was.
