French pro skater Aurélien Giraud has officially split from etnies after three years working together, and he kept the announcement simple and personal.

He shared a message online thanking Pierre-André Senizergues and the whole team behind the brand.

The partnership meant more than just wearing a logo for Giraud. It included getting his first pro model shoe, something most skaters grow up dreaming about.

He talked about how much it meant to be part of a team he respected and how proud he felt seeing that project come to life.

He noted that he hasn’t forgotten what the brand did for him and wished them well moving forward. You can tell there’s no bad blood here, just a natural closing of a chapter.

During his time with etnies, Giraud built a stronger presence not just in competitions but also in street skating. His style, known for speed and technical control, lined up well with the brand’s identity.

As for what comes next, nothing has been officially announced yet.

That usually means one of two things. Either he is taking time to consider his next move carefully, or something is already in the works behind the scenes.

In skateboarding, brand changes like this often lead to fresh opportunities, new creative direction, and sometimes even bigger projects.

For now, fans are left watching closely. Giraud is still one of the top names in competitive skating, especially after strong performances in events like Street League Skateboarding and the Olympic Games.

Wherever he lands next will definitely get attention from the skate community.

One thing is for sure though. This wasn’t a dramatic exit. It felt more like a respectful goodbye between people who had a good run together and are now heading in different directions.
