Christian pro skaters have been winning lately with Ryan Sheckler receiving his Holy Cross board from Zero Skateboards and Dave Jonsson getting his victory at the Speaker Slam.

This time, devout Christian Antwuan Dixon has landed the cover of the new issue of Thrasher Magazine.

Getting the cover of Thrasher usually comes after a major video part or strong support from a large brands.

Dixon’s situation is different.

He does not currently have a major board company backing him and he has not released a big recent video part, yet he still received the cover from a legacy skate magazine that has documented skateboarding for decades.

Dixon’s life has had many ups and downs over the years.

On March 22, 2008, he was arrested by Tampa police on charges related to possession of marijuana under 20 grams and cocaine with intent to sell.

The incident also included battery involving three law enforcement officers. Dixon was held on a $4,000 bond before it was paid and he was released.

Years later his legal problems continued.

In 2013 Dixon received a three year jail sentence after violating his probation. During that time he faced charges that included battery, vandalism, and child endangerment after an argument at a convenience store turned physical.

While serving his sentence he gave details about his situation in an interview with Thrasher Magazine.

On September 13, 2016, Dixon was taken back into custody again. He was eventually released sometime around November or December of that same year.

After those difficult periods, Dixon has been open about his faith and his belief in the Lord Jesus Christ.

He has often spoken about prayer, following the Gospel, and trying to live in a way that honors God.

Many people who follow his story have noticed how often he gives thanks to the Lord for keeping him on the right path.

Even without a large company behind him, Dixon has continued skating and sharing his faith publicly.

Now he finds himself on the cover of Thrasher, something that many pro skaters work their entire careers hoping to achieve.

For supporters who have watched his life change over the years, the cover feels like a blessing after a long period filled with challenges.

Dixon continues to thank God for the opportunities he still receives and for the talent he believes the Lord has given him.

Congratulations to Dixon on the new Thrasher cover!
