On July 27, Netkin celebrated 18 years since Primitive officially launched.

While many skateboarding fans connect the brand with legendary skateboarder Paul Rodriguez, Primitive was built with the help of several people behind the scenes, including co-founder Netkin.

Primitive started as a clothing brand before growing into a skate shop.

Over time, it expanded into skateboards, hardgoods, footwear collaborations, and a full team featuring some of the biggest names in skateboarding.

The company has since become one of the most recognized brands in the industry, but its early days were the result of a group effort from its founders.

Looking back on that day, Netkin shared the following message on social media:

"July 27th, 2008 is a special date as it was the day we launched Primitive. 🚀

I have a lot to say about my ongoing experience with Primitive… but PMA ⚡️"

Primitive has grown considerably over the past 18 years. It only began as a small brand and eventually expanded into decks, apparel, accessories, and a professional team that has included some of the biggest names in the industry.

The company has also partnered with popular entertainment franchises and global brands, helping it reach audiences.
