Sponsored skateboarder Adano Cancino has been skateboarding for years since he was a young buck and has been a hard worker as an artificial grass installer while skating hard in the streets.

After going viral for his skate clips annihilating handrails and sick spots without a shirt on and truly embracing his body, he kept going strong with posting more footage on his Instagram.

This resulted in skaters liking what he does on the board despite his weight. Although people body shame him, but he doesn’t let it get to him. He knows there are always going to be haters in the skate community

In the Lamont Holt podcast interview, Cancino recently exposed the backstabbing going on and the fake love he. "There's a lot of haters in skateboarding, and it's real low key. Everyone wants to be homies, and everyone shows love," he said. "But there's a lot of underground hate, you know. It sucks because we do the same sh*t. It's not a big crowd, like there's not many of us that are loyal to it."

Holt even said that there is a lot of fake sh*t in the skateboard industry, and Cancino responded, "That's exactly what I mean."

Cancino then explained that when a homie starts a company, skaters will, of course, support it, but at the same time, those same homies will hate. "Some homies switch up just because you are doing something and they are not," he said.

Despite all the negativity and hidden resentment Cancino has encountered, he remains focused on what truly matters: skating and staying true to himself.

His ability to push through criticism while continuing to land gnarly tricks has earned him the respect of those who recognize authenticity over empty talk.

By speaking out about the toxic side of the skateboarding world, Cancino isn’t just venting, he’s shedding light on an issue many have felt but few have addressed publicly.

At the end of the day, skateboarding has always been about raw expression, personal growth, and the bonds formed through shared experiences.

No matter if people are fans or not, Cancino isn’t changing for anyone. He’ll keep putting in work, stacking clips, and proving that skill and dedication speak louder than backhanded compliments and behind-the-scenes jealousy. The real ones will always know what’s up.
