The skateboarding community is mourning the loss of 90s Balance Skateboards OG pro skater Aaron Pearcy.
Friends and fellow skaters have been sharing heartfelt messages online as they remember the longtime skateboarder and the impact he had on the people around him.
One of the tributes came from Sidewalk Surfer, which shared a personal message about Pearcy and the many years they spent around him.
"Too soon.. Today was a tough day for everyone at Sidewalk Surfer..
Aaron Pearcey has been a friend of mine and Sidewalk Surfer as long as I can remember. He and all his other friends were staples of the Hayden/Thomas shop crew hanging out watching skate videos or skating to and from the shop to the Wedge.. He was always there to talk or make me laugh sharing stories of his skate spots or talking about random skate boards he had or had owned at one time or another.
We are all very saddened by his passing and he will never be forgotten.

The message paints a picture of someone who spent so much time with the homies, watching skate videos, skating through town, and sharing stories that always seemed to get everyone laughing.
Pearcy was part of the 90s era of Balance Skateboards, a period remembered by many skateboarders who grew up watching videos, reading magazines, and following the riders from that generation.
His name remained respected by those who skated alongside him and everyone who had the chance to know him over the years.
At the time of writing, no additional details regarding Pearcy's passing have been publicly shared.
