Skateboarding legend Tony Hawk has made a huge decision to open a new food business opportunity and partnered up with former Jeune et Jolie restaurant chef Andrew Bachelier.
The new "Chick N’ Hawk" restaurant venture coming soon to coastal Encinitas will be the first for Hawk and Bachelier.
It started as a chicken sandwich spot and evolved into a full-blown restaurant with an expanded menu to open by the spring of 2022.
Due to the Coronavirus COVID-19 pandemic, Bachelier's workplace was forced to have an induced shutdown back in 2020 and switched gears.
Bachelier took time off and spent more time with his loved ones to reflect that his 21-year career needs to be in a different direction.
He then connected with professional skateboarder Hawk, who had been a longtime fan of Bachelier’s cooking.
Birdman named the restaurant in homage to the Looney Tunes character Foghorn Leghorn. Chick N’ Hawk will offer full-service dining along with a more ordering system.
