Skateboarding has been around since the 1950s and has grown in popularity over the years, with more people starting to skate and participating in competitions.

However, the question of whether skateboarding is a sport or not is still up for debate. To gain some insight on this matter, Red Bull talked to several professional skaters and asked for their opinions.

The sports energy drink first spoke to pro skater Mike Anderson but argued that no one wins skateboarding and said that it doesn't matter. He also said that you could do whatever you wanted using your skateboard.

"Any traditional sport, you're caged in, there's format, formula and there's so many rules and they're like everything stop because you stepped over a line." He said. "Everything stops because you grab the ball wrong. It's just ridiculous, sorry."

On the other hand, some skaters believe that skateboarding is not a sport but rather an art form. Garreth Hill also thinks that the creativity and expression involved in skateboarding set it apart from traditional sports. "The last time I checked, art wasn't in the Olympics, he said."

Despite the differing opinions, one thing is clear: skateboarding requires a lot of physical exertion and skill.

It also involves a lot of risks, which is why it's important to wear protective gear like helmets and pads for all the young skaters and novices.

Whether it's considered a sport or an art form, skateboarding is undoubtedly a challenging and rewarding activity that has captured the hearts of millions of people around the world.
