Skate legend Chad Muska recently shared an update on the new Lorain Skatepark, giving the skateboarding community a look at the progress of the upcoming facility in Lorain, Ohio.

Muska is excited about how the project is coming together and thanked California Skateparks and the local community for helping bring the park to life.
Before the park officially opens to the public in spring, the community will have an opportunity to celebrate its arrival during a ribbon cutting ceremony on November 22 at 12 PM.
The event will take place at Longfellow Skatepark, with local skateboarders, BMX riders, and everyone involved in the area's rolling scene invited to attend and show their support.
One of the interesting features of the new park is a bridge gap inspired by Lorain's Charles Berry Bascule Bridge.
Muska explained that the design had already been planned before he saw Jamie Foy's latest Thrasher Magazine cover, which features Foy launching over a bridge.
The timing made the connection even funnier, leading Muska to jokingly give the new obstacle the name "Foy Gap."
Muska also shared a few personal moments from the day, including catching up with longtime friend and photographer Miki Vuckovich, who captured photos of the skatepark's progress.
He also spent some time talking with Miki and Vince before returning to his usual work routine.
With the ribbon cutting coming up and the full opening planned for spring, the new Lorain Skatepark is getting closer to welcoming its local skateboarding and BMX communities.
It's another exciting project for Muska, who continues to support skatepark development through his One Skatepark At A Time initiative.

"Hyped to see the progress on the new Lorain Skatepark!
It’s going to be a great park!
Thank you to the whole @caskateparks team building it and to the entire community for making this a reality.
The main opening will be in spring but the 22nd of this month will be an official ribbon cutting ceremony, come out to show your support to the local Skate / BMX / all-rolling scene!
The bridge gap was designed before I saw the @jamie_foy cover of @thrashermag this month but it’s funny it was built the same month it came out!
The design is based off our local Charles Berry Bascule Bridge and I was joking that I would launch over it one day then I see Jamie actually doing it on one!
Even though it’s not the same bridge this gap has to be the Foy Gap. Haha.
Great to see an old friend @mikivuckovich who shot these photos too, and to talk with him and Vince for a while after was a nice break from my work routine.
A great day to all. Back to work!
