AI generated rap songs and skate clips are becoming more common, and not everyone in skating is into it.
Skater rapper Lupe Fiasco has a different view when it comes to music.
He believes technology has always played a big part in the growth of rap and thinks AI could soon become part of how artists create.
“Rap is born out of technology. Rap wouldn't exist if it wasn't for those technology advancements,” Lupe said.
He also thinks artists will find ways to use AI to speed up their creative process and add to their usual style.
Now the question is, should skater rappers Jereme Rogers, Dashwan Jordan, David Gonzales aka Young Guns 21, and other pros start using AI?
As the technology becomes easier to access, it could become another tool for artists working on beats, lyrics, samples, and new ideas.
Some may embrace it, while others may want to keep their music completely human made. Either way, it will be interesting to see how skater rappers approach AI as it becomes a bigger part of music.
