Professional skateboarder Bryce Wettstein recently received a heartfelt public message from Radio Hall of Famer Tommy Sablan.
The Radio Hall of Famer shared that while her accomplishments continue to grow, it is her character that stands out the most to him.
Sablan posted a personal tribute after Bryce and her team celebrated a successful showing at the X Games in New Orleans.
"I want to say something about this young woman. Her name is Bryce Wettstein. She's a professional skateboarder. She's coached by Willy Santos and skates for Club New York. They won big time at the X Games New Orleans! BUT all of her success comes second to the beautiful heart she has."
He continued by describing Bryce as someone who has remained kind throughout her career.
"She's so kind and good spirited. She's like 1967 'Summer of Love' beautiful and groovy."
Sablan also shared a story that left a lasting impression on him.

After Bryce appeared on KUSI for an interview, she stayed behind and personally wrote thank you notes to everyone involved with the broadcast.
"She was on KUSI and when she was finished, she sat down and wrote thank you notes to everyone."
For Sablan, that simple act said a lot about the person Bryce has become. He said he has watched her skate since she was a child and has enjoyed seeing her grow over the years.
"I've watched her skate since she was a child. She's all grown up and has the most beautiful soul. Her parents must be very proud."
Bryce has built a reputation through years of contest appearances and creative skateboarding, but comments like Sablan's show that many people also appreciate the way she treats those around her.
Moments like this give core heads another reason to admire Bryce. Contest results may come and go, but the way someone treats others often leaves a lasting impression.
