Core skateboarder Darien Poulin has been skating hard in the streets while sharing his life with his longtime partner, Kim.
He has spent years stacking clips with clean hospital flips, annihilating transitions, and finding creative lines in the streets.
After nine years together with his girlfriend Kim, he decided it was time to bring that same creativity into one of the biggest moments of his life.
Instead of getting down on one knee in the usual way, Darien came up with something that fit him perfectly.
He skated up to a quarter pipe, locked into a nosestall, and stayed balanced long enough to reach into his pocket and pull out an engagement ring, then bent his knee and asked the magic question.
Kim immediately realized what was happening as Darien held out the ring while still hanging on the trick.
It was a proposal that could only come from someone who has been skateboarding forever, making the moment feel even sweeter in the eyes of the skate community.
The answer came without any delay. Kim happily said yes, turning the skate sesh into one they will never forget.

"Just realized the video cut out on the other post cause i yapped to long
so here's the proposal !"
Skaters have found plenty of creative ways to celebrate important moments over the years, but this one felt like it matched Darien's personality as a core skateboarder.
Mixing skateboarding with such a special occasion made for a memory that both of them will be talking about for years.
Congratulations to the love birds. We at ShreddER wish them nothing but the best as they get ready for the next chapter together.
Darien followed up with a sweet message:
"9 year anniversary today!
here's to the rest of my life with my bestfriend and fiancé!
"
