Go Skateboarding Day happens every June 21 and skaters around the world already know what that means.
Sessions in the streets, skatepark events, product tosses, music, and everybody getting together to skate.
But in Los Angeles, June 21 also has another meaning now.
Back in June 2024, Los Angeles councilwoman Traci Park officially declared Go Skateboarding Day as Paul Rodriguez Day in the city of Los Angeles.

P-Rod accepted the honor and now his company Primitive Skateboarding is bringing everybody together once again for another celebration at Venice Beach.
Primitive announced that the event will happen in partnership with the city of Los Angeles and will include skateboarding, music, food, local shops, free gear, and more. The event is free and open to the public.
Primitive Skateboards posted:
“JUNE 21ST 🚨
In partnership with the city of Los Angeles, we’re proud to introduce Paul Rodriguez Day.
Sunday, June 21st - We’re taking over Venice Beach for a celebration of P-Rod, Go Skateboarding Day and the City of LA.

P-Rod has been one of the most important names in modern skateboarding for over two decades.
From contest wins to video parts and building Primitive into one of the biggest skate brands today, P-Rod continues to have a huge impact on skateboarding.
With Venice Beach hosting the celebration, it looks like June 21 is going to be packed with skaters, fans, and brands coming together for one big day in LA.
